Following the Prime Ministers announcement on 4th January 2021 the Auction sales on the 6th & 13th January have been postponed. Access to the saleroom & back office is indicated below:-

AUCTION DEPARTMENT: January Auction Sales have been postponed. Consignments & entries for our auction sales can still be made, with access to the salerooms by appointment. Please use info@lithgowsauctions.com to get an appointment. Please allow a couple of days to get an appointment.



Procedure for entering Collectables, Antique & Contemporary furniture in our auction sales.

1.     Send us via email some photos of the furniture. From the photos we will be able to tell you what furniture is / is not saleable at auction. Ordinary hard and soft back books do not sell.

2.     You arrange to get the item to us, access to the salerooms during covid lockdown is via appointment via info@lithgowsauctions.com  Removal contractors, covering Teesside, which we have recommended  in the past are:

 Archers (based in Northallerton) 01609 772466.

3.     Our costs are: commission of 20% plus vat, and a £1 plus vat per lot lotting fee.

4.     Information we need when entering goods for sale:

 Name, Postal Address, Email Address, Tel Number, Bank Account Name, Bank sort code, Bank account Number, a brief list of items.

5.     When we pay out the sale proceeds (approx. 10 days after the sale) we will email you a statement, showing the lot number, description, price achieved, commission and      charges. We pay out by bank to bank transfer.

6.     Unsold lots will be reoffered in a subsequent sale. Once item have been offered twice and not sold we will ask you to arrange collection. However we try our best to vet goods before they come to the salerooms, see point 1.



Procedure for entering tools, industrial equip, catering equipment, trade furnishing in our auction sales.

1.      Send us via email some photos of the items. From the photos we will be able to tell you what items is / is not saleable at auction.

2.      You arrange to get the item to us. Access to the salerooms during covid lock down is via appointment via info@lithgowsauctions.com  .

  We do have our own vehicles and trailers and a forklift, which we take out to  customers premises, if required. We can provide you with a quote for this service.
